Darlin' Caramel Apple Cocktail

Family and friends will cheer when you show up for Thanksgiving with bottles of Darlin' blush for everyone and plans to whip up a special pre-dinner Darlin' Apple Caramel Cocktail. Refreshing yet full of cozy fall flavors, this cocktail is an ideal sipper for holiday gatherings, tailgating, toasting friends around the s’mores pit and all your other favorite fall activities. Darlin’ is a limited-release wine, but don’t worry if you can’t get your hands on this irresistibly sweet and fruity blush. Ingredients:

  • 3 ounces Duplin Darlin' blush wine or Scuppernong Blush wine
  • 1 ounce caramel vodka
  • 1 ounce apple juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon white sugar
  • Garnish: thinly sliced fresh apple and fresh sprigs of fresh sage, thyme or rosemary or

Directions:

In a cocktail shaker or canning jar, combine Duplin Darlin' or Duplin Scuppernong Blush, caramel vodka, apple juice and a few cubes of ice. Place lid on shaker or jar. Shake well.

On small plate, blend together cinnamon and sugar. Dampen the rim of a rocks glass. Dip the rim of the glass into the cinnamon sugar mixture. Carefully place two or three ice cubes in the glass.

Stain cocktail into the cinnamon-sugar-rimmed glass. Garnish drink withthin apple slices and fall favorite herbs like fresh thyme, rosemary or sage.
