Zombie Apocalypse Margarita
When the un-dead are banging at the door this Halloween, a color-changing wine slushie is just the thing to keep the horror at bay. This one starts off neon green and then gets a black raspeberry top-fade when your let your guests finish it off with a shot of Chambord liqueur, all under a bloody good red sugar rim garnished with gummy eyeballs.
Ingredients:
- 8 to 12 Eyeball gummies
- 4 to 6 drinking straws
- 2 tablespoons of molasses
- 1 tablespoon red sanding sugar
- 2 cups Duplin Carlos
- 1 packet Duplin Margarita Sweetzer mix
- Ice
- 4 to 6 shots of black raspberry liqueur such as Chambord
Directions:
- Thread 2 eyeball gummies onto each drinking straw. Set aside.
- Place the molasses and sanding sugar each on its own saucer. Dip the rims of 4 wine glasses into molasses and then the sanding sugar. Set glasses aside.
- Pour Duplin Carlos and Duplin Margarita Sweetzer mix into a blender filled with ice. Whizz mixture at high speed until slushy, adding more ice if mixture is too thin.
- Fill each glass with slushie mixture to 1 inch from the top. Carefully pour 1 shot of black raspberry liqueur over each drink. Place an eyeball gummy drinking straw in each drink. Makes 4 to 6 servings.
