How to make a mulled wine cocktail for Halloween

Fall starts the celebration season, and that means you need the year's best cocktail recipes for football tailgating, Halloween and right through Thanksgiving, Christmas, Kwannza and New Year's Eve. With a hint of mulled wine spices and a dash of crisp apple, the Howl At The Moon drink kicks things off just right.

The captivating full moon on the lable of our new Moonlight Bliss white wine inspired this drink that combines everything wonderful about the holiday season. Not too sweet and not too dry, Moonlight Bliss bursts with fresh muscadine flavor that pops against a dash of mulled wine syrup full of heart-warming spices like cinnamon and cloves.

Mulled wine syrup might sound like too much effort, but, honestly, it's as easy as stirring a few spoonfuls of Duplin Mulling Spice into a little warm water.

A splash of bubbly hard cider at the end adds apple fizz to the Howl At The Moon. A sprig of rosemary to garnish lends the essence of fall leaves and Southern pine forests where wild muscadine grapes still grow, as they have for hundreds of years.

Howl At The Moon is a freshing drink that you can adapt in so many ways. Prefer your cocktails ultra-sweet? Use Magnolia instead of Moonlight Bliss and finish the drink with sweet hard cider. To make a non-alcoholic version, substitute Duplin Muscadine Cider for the wine and add bubbles with sparking apple juice rather than hard cider.
