This easy mojito can be a boozy or low-alcohol cocktail

Somewhere between a classic mojito and spiked lemonade is where your tastebuds want to be when you're looking for a refreshing drink to share with friends. This batch of mojito lands right in that sweet spot thanks to the new white wine Lime Cotton Candy.

If you can't wrap your head around lime wine, try it in this lightly fizzy, super refreshing cocktail that's perfect for brunch, showers and cold winter nights when you'd rather be on a warm island beach. Leave out the rum and this drink works as a tasty low-alcohol cocktail too.

Duplin Lime Cotton Candy is a wine like no other. Whiffs of sweet-tart citrus rise through hints of spun vanilla and berries as the flavor twirls on your palate. It's absolutely delicious on ice and works as a cocktail mixer in spins on classic lime drinks like mojitos, margaritas and Moscow mules.

The Lime Cotton Candy Mojito is easier than the classic mojito recipe. Just place all the ingredients in a pitcher and stir. Tangy sparkling lemonade adds extra zest. Look for it in the specialty soda section in the drinks aisle at your favorite supermarket. If you can't find sparkling lemonade or want a drink that is a little sweeter, substitute lemon-lime soda and add a little extra lime juice to the drink.

Add white rum for a really boozy drink or skip the rum for a cocktail that is lighter on the alcohol.

Mojitos usually require muddled mint, but this easy recipe calls for adding chopped mint to the pitcher. Do this no more than 30 minutes before serving so the mint doesn't discolor. Be sure to strain the mojito into tall glasses of ice to avoid too many bits of mint in each sip. Garnish the drinks with beautiful bunches of mint so that guests get the herb's delightful aroma with every sip.
