Star Spangled Sangria is the only patriotic drink you need this 4th of July

Chock full of summer berries and starfruit that nod to the Stars & Stripes, this easy, all-American, white wine sangria recipe, spiked with blueberry vodka, will have everyone standing at salute this 4th of July.

Fresh strawberries and blueberries mingle with sliced starfruit – that’s actually shaped like stars – in a bubbly sangria that you’ll be serving all summer.

The bubbles come from a little lemon-lime soda in the mix of Duplin Carlos and Duplin Cotton Candy Lime. You could use one or the other (or your favorite Duplin white), but we like blending the two, half-and-half. Carlos serves a refreshing acidity while Cotton Candy Lime brings bright, crystal sweetness.

Don’t soak the fruit for this sangria! You don’t want the colors of the berries to bleed into the white wine. Blend the wine and blueberry vodka ahead and refrigerate until well chilled. Then, pop in the fruit and lemon-lime soda just before serving.
