Orange Cream Delight
Creamsicles or Dreamsicles, we don’t care. We need that orange vanilla ice cream flavor in summer, every summer. So we made up this boozy Orange Cream Colada and garnished it with an entire Creamsicle ice cream bar. Pina Colada Sweetzer wine slushie mix meets orange sherbet in this drink that's the ultimate hot-weather cocktail.
Ingredients:
- 4 tall ice cream soda glasses
- 8 medium scoops orange sherbet
- 1 bottle Duplin White Sangria, well chilled
- 1 packet of Pina Colada Sweetzer mix
- 3 large scoops high-quality vanilla ice cream
- 4 cups ice
- 4 Creamsicle or other brand of orange vanilla ice cream barsDreamsicle ice cream bars
Directions:
- Place glasses in the freezer for 15 minutes.
- Remove glasses from the freezer. Place 2 scoops of orange sherbet in each glass. Return glasses to the freezer and leave them there for at least 30 minutes.
- Pour half of the bottle of Duplin White Sangria into a blender container. Put the remaining wine in the bottle in the freezer.
- Pour 1 packet of Pina Colada Sweetzer mix into the blender container. Blend at low speed for 15 seconds. Add the ice cream and the ice to the blender container. Blend at high speed until contents are slushie.
- Remove glasses and extra wine from the freezer. Pour enough of the wine from the freezer into the glasses to come halfway to the top of the sherbet.
- Pour prepared Pina Colada Sweetzer over the sherbet in the glasses. Stick a Creamsicle or Dreamsicle into the glass with the stick pointing up.
- Makes 4 servings.
