Apple Cider Margarita
A classic margarita with an apple cider twist and a fizzy splash of Duplin Orange Blossom, all served in a cinnamon-sugar-rimmed glass. Potent. Tangy sweet. The amber-orange hue of every perfect fall day.
Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons white sugar
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- ¼ teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 wedge of orange
- 1 cup citrus-infused tequila or tequila blanco
- 2 cups apple cider
- ½ cup Triple Sec, Cointreau or other orange liqueur
- ½ cup lime juice
- Duplin Orange Blossom wine
- Ice
Directions:
- Blend together the white and brown sugars. Spread the mixture out on a small, flat dish.
- Rub the orange wedge on the rim of four or six margarita glasses. Dip the rims into the sugar. Set glasses aside.
- Pour tequila, apple cider, orange liqueur and lime juice into a large pitcher. Stir. Refrigerate until well chilled, at least one hour.
- Fill glasses two-thirds full with margarita mixture. Top off each glass with chilled Duplin Orange Blossom.
- Make 6 to 8 servings.
