Dupzilian Lemonade
This Brazilian Lemonade recipe lands just in time to start planning your National Lemonade Day celebration August 20. We named it "Dupzilian Lemonade." Or, as Duplin Dine & Wine's Frank likes to say, "Dupzilian Lemzonade." Whatever you call it, this is the lemonade you'll be drinking on repeat every summer.
Like the classic Brazilian Lemonade recipe, this version is fast and easy. Just whirl all the ingredients in a blender. What's different is we replaced boring water with tasty Duplin Sangria White, but feel free to sub in your favorite Duplin sweet white wine.
Ingredients:
- 5 limes
- 1 bottle Sangria White or your favorite Duplin sweet white wine
- One 14-ounce can sweetened condensed milk
- ¼ cup coconut cream
- Ice
- Pineapple slices
Directions:
- Chill 4 16-ounce goblet or pint glasses in the freezer.
- Cut limes into quarters lengthwise and then cut each section in half.
- Place limes and Duplin Sangria White or your favorite Duplin sweet white wine in a blender container. Pulse just until the mixture is roughly blended but not longer than 60 seconds. Overblending will bring out too much of the limes’ bitterness.
- Strain lime and wine mixture into a pitcher. Rinse the blender. Return the strained liquid to the blender. Add the sweetened condensed milk. Fill blender container with ice. Whirl at high speed until frothy but not slushy.
- Pour mixture immediatly into chilled glasses. Garnish with pineapple slices. Makes 4 servings.
