Magic Mike Bloody Mary

Nothing says “brunch” like a great bloody mary recipe. Our recipe came from Magic Mike, one of the most popular bartenders at Duplin Winery's North Myrtle Beach tasting room. 

Ingredients:

  • For preparing the glass:
  • 1 tablespoon Bruce Julian Southern Mojo seasoning
  • 1 empty pint glass
  • For the cocktail:
  • 1 empty pint glass
  • 1 pint glass filled with ice
  • 2 ounces vodka
  • 1 tablespoon Duplin Muscadine Barbecue Sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups Bruce Julian Bloody Mary mix
  • For serving:
  • 1 clean pint glass
  • Ice
  • 3 spears Bruce Julian Sassy Spears pickled asparagus

Directions:

  1. Spread Bruce Julian Southern Mojo seasoning on a saucer-size plate. Moisten the rim of the empty pint glass. Dip the moistened rim of the glass into the seasoning, coating the rim all the way around with the seasoning. Set prepared glass aside.
  2. Pour vodka, Duplin Muscadine Barbecue Sauce and the bloody mary mix into the pint glass that is filled with ice. Pour the mixture back and forth twice between the glass that it was mixed in and the empty pint glass. This kind of mixing is called “rolling.”
  3. Add a couple of cubes of ice to the glass with the seasoned rim. Pour the blended bloody mary into the glass. Garnish with 3 Bruce Julian Sassy Spears pickled asparagus spears. Add a splash of the asparagus’ pickling liquid to the bloody mary, if desired. Makes 1 serving.
