If you love our Sippin' Sweet wine, you probably have a few Mason jars hanging around the house, and the best way to use them is to mix and serve icy cold Duplin Wine summer cocktail recipes.

The Duplin Whiskey Sour is a recipe Duplin fan Kat shared with our "Dine & Wine" video series host Frank. He wanted to try the cocktail, but he didn't have a cocktail shaker handy, so he decided to use a Mason jar.

The Duplin Whiskey Sour is a super easy recipe -- just whiskey, simple syrup, lemon juice and Black River Red wine -- that you can mix, shake and serve in one jar. Don't get too aggressive while shaking the cocktail. You don't want to bruise the whiskey, and you'll need to be a little more gentle with the glass jar than you would a metal cocktail shaker.

The original recipe calls for Black River Red, but there's no reason you can't try it with Sippin' Sweet, assuming you have a little bit left in your jar. Experimenting with different red wines for this recipe is fun. See you on the porch!
