Bottle Your Own Wine Experience comes to Myrtle Beach
Enter the fascinating world of winemaking with a new Bottle Your Own Duplin Wine Experience that elevates the normal winery tour into an unforgettable hands-on event.
Become part of our wine family as we welcome you to not only see how wine is made but also fill your own bottle to take home.
Donning goggles and gloves, you'll have the authentic experience of loading bottles onto the conveyor at Duplin Winery in North Myrtle Beach. You'll work with whatever wine we're producing that day and then continue to corking and labeling your bottle.
As part of the experience, an expert wine guide leads you on a grape-to-glass virtual tour of Duplin’s central production headquarters in Rose Hill, N.C. Video stations show Duplin Estate Vineyards, grape harvesting and how winemakers turn the fruit into Duplin’s award-winning wines.
Also discover how the Fussell family, against all odds, grew Duplin from a tiny operation that enlisted neighbors to stomp grapes into the world’s largest muscadine winery, without ever abandoning devotion to faith, family and community.
“The winemaking process is incredibly special to my family. Every single one of us has worked the bottling room, capped wine and, back in the early days, even licked labels. Days of working together in the winery are some of our most precious memories. We wanted to share that joy with everyone who visits the winery,” said Jonathan Fussell, who owns the fourth-generation winery with his brother, Dave Fussell.
Offered on the hour from 12 to 5 p.m. Monday and Wednesday, the 45-minute Bottle Your Own Duplin Wine Experience costs $20.
